For as long as he can remember, Pat Termite has always admired the girl-groups from the sixties. Come hell or high water, he was determined to put a female-fronted project together. His idea finally came to fruition with the formation of the Firecrackers.
In the summer of 2008, Pat recruited Colleen on vocals, Josh Termite on guitar and Rebecca on bass/backing vocals and went from his usual role of frontman to drummer/backing vocalist.
In 2009, Josh and Rebecca departed due to their busy schedules (Josh remains in the Termites on bass). So Pat and Colleen soldiered on, writing new songs and recruiting Ricky on guitar and Matt on bass with Pat assuming most of the backup vocals previously provided by Rebecca.
Look for their new release on Hit Factor, Pat's imprint label of Insubordination, within the next year!
You can expect the usual Beatnik Termitesque harmonies and sugary melodies, but with a unique twist, provided by Colleen's haunting vocal style and her significant melodic/lyrical contribution

“It’s Alternative Rock with a twist of heaviness on some songs and the lightness and melody of the softest song you’ve ever heard on others. Certainly one of PA’s most promising young bands…individually they are the most morally depraved people I have ever laid eyes on…buyer beware.” – Bret Alexander of the Badlees
